Planting Day

Toni Inspects Her Dog Digging Heaven

Herbs, Potatoes, Bush Tomatoes

Planted Garden
April 15th is officially the planting day for my area of the country. I planted on April 3rd. We had a beautiful weekend and I was anxious to get the plants in the ground.
We filled the garden with 2 yards of garden mix and 1 yard of leaf mold. Toni thought it was the greatest playground in the world. We had to fence her out.
This area contains tomatoes, peppers, okra and beans.

I tilled and planted, waiting for God to give the increase.....

  1. Didn't you build that lovingly planned enclosure for Toni? The garden looks good and I'm super jealous of the green grass. We bought stuff to make a small garden this year. Keith wants to go ahead and plant stuff now, but I disagree since many nights are still below freezing. How soon should we start trying to sprout our plants?

  2. Wait until May 15 to plant. Sprout the plants indoors now and keep the plants inside and warm until the planting day. Did you buy seeds or smalls plants?
